S'Albufera National Park S'Albufera National Park / Es Grau The S'Albufera nature reserve is near the village of Es Grau in the north-east of the island and was declared a national park in 1995. Covering over 5,000 hectares of land, water and five small islands. The nature reserve is stunning natural environment preserving Menorca’s natural environment and diverse habitats, from wetlands, forests, a coastline of dunes and cliffs, agricultural areas, islets and marine areas. It contains a huge variety of Menorca’s wildlife and geology. These great habitats are home to all sorts of wildlife. There is a visitors centre, that contains a gallery of nature photos and where you can pick up a leaflet and map outlining the possible trails and an entry pass into the park. There also toilets nearby including one for disabled access. A vending machine offers cold drink for 1 euro each. S'Albufera is also a fantastic location for walking with three route designated walks available, for more information please visit our walking and hiking section. Opens from 9am - 6pm during high season and close at 5pm in Autumn but please check at the visitor centre.
