The beach at Binibeca is a wonderful soft white-sandy beach with a gently shelving beach with warm waters ideal for families with smaller children. It’s also one of five beaches in Menorca that was awarded the Blue Flag beach award in 2016 for its high standards of quality and safety.
The beach has a rugged volcanic rock peninsula to the west which helps shelter the bay and a great location for rockpooling. Towards the rear of the beach is a sweet-smelling pine wood, with numerous picnic tables that’s an ideal place to escape the midday sun.
The beach is well protected by lifeguards and you can hire sun loungers and parasols, as well as electric boats and pedal boats. Towards the rear of the beach there is plenty of space for volleyball, football, frisbee throwing etc.
There is also the famous Los Bucaneros beach bar, with plenty of seating built across the rocks overlooking the bay. The iconic fishermen’s hut has been offering a good range of dishes since the early 1970’s, and you can off course find a good range of drinks, ice-creams and lighter snacks.
There are toilet facilities behind the bar and a dedicated car park towards the rear and parking on nearby roads. There is easy access for wheelchairs as well as pushchairs to the beach and beach bar.
