Cala Macarella beach

Cala Macarella is a medium sized cove with brilliant white sand flanked by steep hills of pine woods and the most amazing clear turquoise water ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

The beach is in the South West of the island and the nearest resort 3.5km away is Cala Galdana. There is a car park about 20mins walk away down a long winding country road.

The beach does have a lifeguard and a large beach side restaurant offering a good range of hot and cold dishes. You can also purchase beach towels, beach umbrella’s, sun cream and flip flops. Shower and toilet facilities are nearby.

The smaller beach called Macarelleta cove, is within 15 minutes walking distance or by a short swim and is also stunning and beautiful, however be aware the beach is often inhabited by those wanting an all over body tan.
